Major Partitions Announces Silver Certification LEED-Compliance

Major Partitions is proud to announce it is LEED-compliant, continuing its leadership in environmental programs.

Built to meet high quality standards, all of Major Partitions’ products promote the reduction of waste, as well as reuse and recycling initiatives when it comes to steel and other products. Becoming Silver LEED-compliant is a major part of the future sustainability for Major Partitions, a leader in the supply of wire mesh products and services since 1888.

“We take environmental initiatives very seriously,” says Thomas Marchl, President of Major Partitions. “We do not produce harmful by-products, we are LEED-compliant, and we always use recycled paint. It’s not only about producing quality products for our customers, which we’ve been doing for over 100 years; it’s also about having a positive effect on the environment in all of our processes.”

Major Partitions’ line of products includes the TA-50 Military Lockers, which offer secure military storage alternatives. These steel lockers can be fit for any large area and are ideal for storing all types of military equipment – from duffle bags and personal items, to larger, heavier gear. Furthermore, Major Partitions’ products are a perfect choice for a LEED-compliant building.

Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) is an internationally recognized green-building certification system, providing third-party verification that a building or community was designed and built using strategies intended to improve performance in metrics. LEED designates the following levels of certification: certified: 40-49 points; silver: 50-59 points; gold: 60-79 points; platinum: 80 points and above.
